After the premiere show in Legnica, the 32nd International Jewellery Competition began an tour of museums, galleries and events dedicated to contemporary jewellery. Sandomierz (Poland) became the next venue for the presentation of the EMPATHY exhibition. The works will be on display at the Castle Museum in Sandomierz (Castle Street 12) from August 17 to September 15, 2024.
The opening will take place on August 16 (Friday) at 6 p.m. A curator tour of the exhibition will take place on 17 August (Saturday) at 3 p.m.

The Grand Opening of the Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER is behind us. On Saturday evening May 11, 2024 we announced the names of the winners of the 32nd International Jewellery Competition EMPATHY and presented the awards.
During the gala at the Gallery of Art, prizes worth nearly 75 000 PLN were distributed. The group of Patrons and prize Sponsors traditionally included the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., which passed on a prize in the form of 5 kg of silver granulate. In addition, the Festival was supported by: the Mayor of the City of Legnica, the Association of Goldsmiths, the YES Gallery from Poznań, the International Amber Association from Gdańsk, the Inhorgenta Fair from Munich, the Mydaybyday Gallery and the Lost in Jewellery Magazine from Rome, the Qubus Hotel in Legnica and the Hopea and PB Group companies.

The next edition of the Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER – a remarkable review of contemporary jewellery, dating back to the 1970s – is underway. Today, the event is one of the largest jewellery festivals in Europe, gathering many artists, enthusiasts and a wide international audience every year. This time, Legnica once again becomes the capital of contemporary artistic jewellery and promote the latest and most interesting creations.
The Grand Opening of the Festival, which included exhibition vernissages, the award gala of the 32nd International Jewellery Competition EMPATHY, a symposium "Boundaries of Global Art" and accompanying events, took place between 10 and 11 May 2024.

The competition has been organized by the Gallery of Art in Legnica as the main event of the Jewellery Festival SILVER since 1979 (initially as the National Review of the Goldsmiths Forms). It is one of the oldest initiatives to promote contemporary jewellery in Europe, supporting creative explorations within a niche field at the intersection of art, craft and design.
