Eunmi Chun
Moją pracę napędza zainteresowanie podobieństwami pomiędzy formami roślinnymi i zwierzęcymi. Objawia się to nie tylko na poziomie treści, ale także w wyborze samego materiału. Przeźroczystemu pergaminowi wyrabianemu z jelit nadaję kształty zwierząt, by następnie uformować je w rośliny. Osobliwe piękno rzuca widzowi wyzwanie i pobudza do refleksji nad kruchością życia, bliskością śmierci i nad prawdą, że życie nieuchronnie toczy się i wiecznie zmienia.
Zawsze interesowało mnie to, że my ludzie doświadczamy ambiwalentnych uczuć i możemy przejawiać sprzeczne cechy charakteru – właśnie to pragnę wyrazić poprzez swoje prace. Zwierzęta kojarzą mi się z atakiem, dzikością i aktywnością, co stoi w opozycji do bierności, pasywności roślin. Aby zaakcentować? tę dwoistość, staram się wybierać zwierzęta, które niezaprzeczalnie mają agresywną naturę.
