ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Inspirations from Poland

Australian artist Felicity Peters in 2009 stayed in Poland, propagating the Korean technique of gilding keum boo. This visit was a source of inspiration for the newest collection of works which are presented at the exhibition. The collection is dedicated to special for the author Polish friends and places, among which Legnica impressed the strong track.

My trip to Poland in 2009 has had an immense bearing on both my personal and professional life. Seeing beautiful landscapes from mountainous areas to beach sides like Sopot, learning more about Polish history - the struggles over the years to be truly independent, wonderful Polish culture I met friendly people and so many talented jewellers. To them all I say “Bardzo dziękuję” (thank you very much) for the opportunities given to me. Opportunities to grow, and to learn and to love and appreciate Polish culture.
