Silver Time - seminary
The exhibition presented works made by artists invited to the 1st edition of the jewellery seminar Polish Copper. Legnica Copper Ore Seminar. The participants come from: Canada, Japan, The Netherlands, Great Britain, Lithuania, Slovakia, Sweden, Ireland, Italy and Poland.
The symbolic one tone of copper ore and it’s contents - 10 kg of copper, 1.5 kg of silver and 40 g of gold, donated by KGHM Polish Copper company, was the source of inspiration and the same time material used by the artists to create their works - jewellery or objects.
Each participant donate one of pieces made during the seminar to the International Collection of Contemporary Jewellery of the Gallery of Art in Legnica.

Gijs Bakker (The Netherlands) – member of the Legnica Jewellery jury, the renowned artist and designer.
Kelly McCallum (Great Britain) – educated at the Royal College of Art (Great Britain) and in Massachusetts (USA).
Fabrizio Tridenti (Italy) – participant of a number of Legnica goldsmithery competitions.
Cóilín Ó Dubhghaill (Ireland) – artist from Glasgow, graduate from Edinburgh College of Art (Scotland) and Tokyo Geidai (Japan), research worker at Sheffield Hallam University (Great Britain).
Märta Mattsson (Sweden) – graduate from goldsmithery schools in Goteborg, London, Rhode Island (USA), Honolulu (Hawaii, USA), Tokyo (Japan).
Yoko Izawa (Japan/Great Britain) – artist who uses textile in her works, connected with the Jewellery Department by the Art and Design Institute in Birmingham.
Bety K. Majerníková (Slovakia) – professor Weisschlechner’s assistant at the Fine Arts Academy in Bratislava.
Mariusz Gliwiński (Poland) – goldsmith from Sopot, promoter of amber, owner of the prestigious jewellery company Ambermoda, Giedymin Jabłoński (Poland) – artist, expert of the jewellery field and author of a number of publications (seminar leader).
Andrzej Pacak (Poland) – goldsmith, lives and runs his own gallery in London.
