Sławomir Fijałkowski - Poland

Graduate of the State Higher School of Visual Arts (currently: Academy of Fine Arts and Design) in Łódź (1995). Postgraduate studies at the Hochschule für Künstlerische und Industrielle Gestaltung in Linz, Austria (1996-98). In 2012 he obtained a PhD degree. Recipient of two scholarships of the Ministry of Culture and Art, he also received grants from the Batory Foundation, Kultur-Kontakt in Vienna and the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research. In years 2003-08 he was a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Łódź, where he run the Fundamentals of Jewellery Design Studio. At present - dean of the Architecture and Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where he runs the Everyday Objects and Jewellery Design Studio. His works have been presented at over forty individual and group exhibitions in Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Great Britain, USA. He also works in applied art designs commercial jewellery collections working with the leading Polish jewellery manufactures. 


Galit Gaon - Israel

Chief Curator at Design Museum Holon. Founder, Director and Chief Curator of the Israeli Cartoon Museum. Formerly founder, director and head of Department of Product Design in Askola School of Design, Tel Aviv, as well as senior lecturer at the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT), Holon. In 15 years of work Gaon initiated and curated numerous design exhibitions all over Israel, and was a partner and director of the a design studio for Museums, manager of program development and design management for the Tel Aviv Museum, Yad Vashem Museum, Eretz Israel Museum, Massuah Museum, the National Tibetan Museum, Tower of David Museum, the Museum of Islamic Art and various other projects of site conservation. She is a member of the board of the Advanced Design Forum of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor and a member of the board of the Israeli Institute of Packaging and Design Manufacturers Association of Israel. Gaon received a Master from the University Art Gallery, Tel Aviv and a B.Des from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.

 

Jiro Kamata – Japan/Germany

B. in Hirosaki, Japan. Lives and works in Munich, Germany. Graduate of the Yamanashi Institute of Gemology and Jewellery Art, Kofu, Japan (1996-98); of the Jewellery and Everyday Object Design Department of the  Hochschule für Gestaltung, Pforzheim, Germany (1998-99) and of the Jewellery and Object Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts (Akademie der Bildenen Künste) in Munich, Germany (2000-06, diploma in 2006). Author and participant in many individual and collective exhibitions. Selected exhibitions: Arboresque, SOFA NY, Ornamentum Gallery, New York, USA, 2011; Momentopia, Rob Koudijs Gallery, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 2009; things of value, Harappa Gallery, Hirosaki, Japan, 2008; Extrovert, O-Jewel/H.P.FRANCE, Tokyo, Japan, 2006; Blendable, OONA Gallery, Berlin, Germany, 2005. Currently works as an assistant professor at the Jewellery Department of the Academy of Fine Arts (Akademie der Bildenen Künste) in Munich Germany.

Aneta Lis-Marcinkiewicz – Poland

Lives and works in Opole. Graduated from Faculty of Textile and Fashion, Department of Jewellery at Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. Curator of exhibitions and author of many critical essays. Participant of many individual and group exhibitions. Winner of many international jewellery art contests, including International Silverart Competition in Legnica . Member of Lis2 artistic group. Selected exhibitions: Czas srebra i bursztynu, Wuppertal, Germany, 2008, Gallery of Art in Legnica, 2009, Amber Museum in Gdansk, 2009; Złote Kreacje, the 50th anniversary of design art at Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, 2009; Imatra Art KORU3, Museum, Imatra, Finland, 2009; 15th International Silverart Competition SKANDAL– the prize of Gallery of Art in Legnica, 2006. 



Hans Stofer - Switzerland/Great Britain

B. in Baden, Switzerland. Lives and works in London, Great Britain. Graduate of the Brown Boveri Technical College in Baden (1972-76) and of the Jewellery and Design Department of the Fachhochschule für Gestaltung in Zurich, Switzerland (1981-84). Professor and dean of the Goldsmith, Metallurgy and Jewellery Department at the Royal College of Art in London (Great Britain). Author of many publications and several dozen individual and collective exhibitions. Works in many collections, i.e. in: Victoria & Albert Museum, London, Great Britain; Birmingham Museum, London, Great Britain; Nottingham Castle Museum, Nottingham, Great Britain; Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, Germany; Schweizerisches Landesmuseum, Zurich, Switzerland; Louis Koch Collection, Switzerland.
