Melanie Isverding (Germany)

B. in 1978 in Vreden (Germany). Education: Apprenticeship - Goldsmith, Niessing, Vreden, Germany, 1994-98; Professional Goldsmith, Niessing, Vreden, 1998-2002; Staatliche Zeichenakademie Hanau, Germany, Technical College of Design, 2002-04; Academy of Fine Arts Munich, Germany, Jewelry Department, Prof. Otto Künzli, Master Student, 2005-11. Since 2014 an assistant of Prof. Daniel Kruger at the Jewelry Department of the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. Solo exhibitions: In other smiles, Gallery Loupe and R/R Gallery, New York, USA, 2015; Tiptoe on Clouds, Gallery Rob Koudijs, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 2014; roundabout, Galerie Biró, Munich, Germany, 2013; Hide n`Seek, Gallery Rob Koudijs, Amsterdam, 2011. Awards: Oberbayerischer Förderpreis für Angewandte Kunst - 1st Prize, Munich, 2011; BKV Prize for Young Applied Artists - 2nd Prize, Bavarian Crafts Council, Munich, 2010; Oberbayrischer Förderpreis für Nachwuchskünstler - Schmuck und Gerät - 1st Prize, Munich, 2005. Sławomir Fijałkowski (Poland)

B. in 1970. Professor of fine arts, lives and works in Gdynia, Poland. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Łódź (Poland) - Jewellery Design, postgraduate studies at the Hochschule für künstlerische und industrielle Gestaltung in Linz (Austria) - Metall. Scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and Art, the Batory Foundation, the Vienna Foundation Kultur-Kontakt and the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research. He has worked in many private and public academies, currently he leads the Experimental Design Studio at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He deals with product and jewellery design in collaboration with reputable manufacturers and author`s design. Participant in more than 50 exhibitions of jewellery and design, jury member of the Legnica International Jewellery Competition, organizer of many exhibitions, author of texts, analysis, theoretical and scientific descriptions, educational programs in the field of contemporary design. At present - dean of the Architecture and Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.

Otto Künzli (Switzerland/Germany)

Lives and works in Munich, Germany. In 1965-1970 studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich and in 1972-1978 at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich. Since 1985 he has lectured in Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. From 1991 until 2014 he was Professor at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich. In 1992 he became honorary fellow of the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. 2008-2012 Visiting professor at the Royal Collage of Art, London and 2010 artist in residence at the Konstfack Stockholm, Sweden. In 2014 he was invited by the CERN (the European Organisation for Nuclear Research) in Geneva, Switzerland. In 2010 he received the Grand Prix Design oft he Swiss Confederation, Bern, Switzerland and in 2011 the prestigeous Ring of Honour from the Association for Goldsmiths’ Art, Hanau, Germany. His works have been presented at many solo exhibitions, including: Stedelijkmuseum, Amsterdam (1991); Galerie Wittenbrink, Munich (1991, 1993, 1998, 2002, 2004, 2009, 2013); Galerie Ra, Amsterdam (1995, 1999); Zilkha Gallery, Middletown, USA (1992); Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow (1992); RAM Galleri, Oslo (1996); Gallery Funaki, Melbourne (1997, 2003, 2010); Galleri Hnoss, Göteborg (1998); Galerie Sophie Lachaert, Antwerp (1999); Kunstforum Kirchberg/Bern (1999); John Curtin Gallery, Perth (2000); La Chaufferie, Strasbourg (2004); Galerie Marzee, Nijmegen. A large momographic solo exhibition was opened in 2013 in Die Neue Sammlung – The International Design Museum Pinakothek der Moderne München, Germany and travelled in 2014 to mudac, Musée de design et d’arts appliqués contemporains, Lausanne, Switzerland and in 2015 to the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan.

Katarzyna Rzehak (Poland)

Creative Director in Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw, the oldest polish institute dealing with design. Art Historian, critic of design and artistic jewellery. Graduate of History of Arts at Jagiellonian University in Cracow and Museum and Gallery Management at City University in London. She is the co-author of the first web portal connected with Polish trends. Lecturer of postgraduate studies Design Management leaded by Institute of Industrial Design and Warsaw School of Economics. She creates and leads training courses in design and trends. Director of Good Design – the competition for the best designed products and services, in which, for the first time this year, the best designed mass produced jewellery will be treated as former implementation and will be rated and awarded.

Timothy Carson (Great Britain)

Education: Hereford College of Art and Design, Great Britain, 1986; Epsom School of Art, Great Britain, 1988. Currently lecturing post at Middlesex University, London, Great Britain. Exhibitions include: ‚Demonstration 2’, Velvet da Vinci, San Francisco, USA; ‚BLacK & bLUe (and yellow)’ (with Paolo Scura), Galerie Louise Smit, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 2011; ‚Renaissance 12:2’ (with Dialogue Collective), Gallery of Art, Legnica, Poland, 2012; ‚Revolt’ (group exhibition), Gallery of Art, Legnica, Poland, 2013; ‘Extranalities’ (with Herman Hermsen), Galerie Reverso, Lisbon, Portugal, 2015.
