Amberif Design Award
Exhibition presents pieces selected to the 15th International Competition for Jewellery Project with Amber organized by the International Fair of Amber, Jewellery and Gemstones Amberif. Its aim is promotion of creative thinking and innovative solutions in jewellery design with amber. This year’s topic was: N:JOY
International jury composed of:
Christophe Burger – jewellery designer, Colmar, France
Mariusz Gliwiński – jewellery designer, Sopot, Poland
Zbigniew Kraska – jewellery exhibitions curator, Legnica, Poland
Katarzyna Rzehak –Institute of Industrial Design, Warsaw, Poland
Wim Vandekerckhove – jewellery gallery owner, Ghent, Belgium
assessed 96 works submitted by 80 artists from 10 countries: Finland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Israel, Great Britain, Belgium, Denmark, Serbia and Poland to the Competition.
The Jury awarded the following prizes:
GRAND PRIX sponsored by Paweł Adamowicz, the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk – 10.000 PLN
Sara Gackowska – Międzychód, Poland
Jurors about work: A minimalistic combination of two very different materials. Their collision creates an unequivocal ring both timeless and contemporary. The colour yellow and the non-preciousness speak of an obvious joy in a way extended by the dynamic shape of the amber.

Jurors about work: An interesting development of the concept of the ring. The Jury appreciated the use of amber as a specific tactile agent. Therefore, it reflects the pleasure aspect of enjoyment.
